We're continuously investing in our mobile applications portfolio so that all visually-impaired consumers can stay connected with friends, family and colleagues no matter where they are.
"Etisalat Masmou" application enables both blind and visually-impaired users to
- Make and receive calls
- Read and write SMS messages
- Manage contacts and call lists
- Review the numbers entered in the dialer screen, and check the caller ID on incoming calls
- Browse the Internet
- Send and receive emails
- Manage the calendar to schedule appointments and keep track of them using alarms and reminders
- Create text and voice notes
- Perform calculations
- Listen to music and podcasts
- Configure phone settings, profiles and ringtones, speed dial keys and voice tags
- Share data between their device and other mobile phones and computers
Documents required:
- A document is required to prove that the customer is in fact visually impaired
- ID Card for disabled
OR - Red card from the Ministry of Social Affairs
The service was available for limited time and now it is not available for new Subscribers.
Compatible handsets are HTC, windows mobile, Nokia (E-series and N-series ), Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and LG Symbian based phones (S60 3rd and 5th editions) :
